What is Kids Camp?

Kids Camp is a three-day overnight camp experience where kids will make lifelong memories, good friendships, and have a blast while learning more about who God is.

When is Kids Camp?

June 25-27, 2017.

Who is going?

All Kids who have completed Grades 3-5.

Where is Kids Camp?

Lake Placid Camp and Conference Center (LPCCC) in Lake Placid, FL.

What will my kids be doing at Kids Camp?

Beach and boat time, tubing, water inflatables, giant slip and slide, late night games, chapel and a lot more!

What will my child need to bring to Kids Camp?

Bible and pen, 1 bath towel, 2 beach towels, pillow, twin sheets or sleeping bag, toiletries, insect repellent, suntan lotion or sun block (spray), after sun lotion, flashlight, swimsuit (one-piece for girls), modest/comfortable clothes, change of clothes for 2 Chapels, tennis shoes and flip-flops, water shoes (optional), $5-$10 for concessions, NO ELECTRONICS.

Medicine: Bring any medications to check-in on Monday morning, June 26, with the nurse. Medicines need to be labeled and in a Ziploc bag.

*It is your responsibility to label and mark all of your child’s belongings. If something is not marked, it will be given away.

How will my kids get to and from Kids Camp?

Air-conditioned charter buses will depart from Family Church Gardens - 4901 PGA Blvd on Monday morning, June 25. All children need to be checked in by a parent or designated adult* at 7:30am. Busses will return on Wednesday, June 27 at 5:00pm. Parents or pre-arranged designated adults* will check out their child(ren) from the Gardens Campus.

*If your child will be checked in or picked-up by someone other than a parent, please notify the Kids Ministry Office in writing as soon as possible.

Will my kids be safe?

Yes! All counselors are Family Church members and have been thoroughly background checked and trained. Counselors are a mixture of parents and college students. All activities for Kids Camp are designed for your child to have fun while being safe. Certified lifeguards are hired through LPCCC for beach and boat time. A nurse and paramedic will be on site at all times in case of an emergency.

Where will kids sleep?

Kids will be in a clean, air-conditioned cabin with their color team and counselors. Boys and girls are in separate facilities.

Can I talk to my child on the phone during Kids Camp?

No. Kids Camp is a short period of time during which we get the opportunity to invest in your child. Our counselors and leaders are trained in helping the children if they are homesick. In case of an emergency or out of necessity, the camp director will contact you.

What will my child eat at camp?

We work with LPCCC’s chef to develop kid-friendly meals. If your child has an allergy, please clearly mark it on your registration form and/or contact the Kids Ministry Office.
